Learner Driver Reality TV show now Online

This is the first episode of my learner driver TV show.

This learner driver TV show is meant to be educational with useful information to help you progress in your learning as you prepare for the UK driving test, while it will also be entertaining, this is not another reality tv series that just wants to highlight bad drivers and make fun of learner drivers as they struggle to get to grips with the complex task of acquiring those driving skills required to pass the driving test.

  2. Great video, can't wait for the next episode. It was very interesting to see you teach in a manual transmission vehicle. Very few if any driving schools in California use manual transmission.

Is your car equipped with a passenger side clutch and gas pedal as well as the brake?

I would imagine that the lack of a passenger side clutch could result in some very tricky situations when students stall the car in traffic.

The video quality and camera placement was excellent and I am very interested to know what type of equipment you are using and how you've mounted it in your vehicle?

Again, great video. Keep up the good work!

Josh, thanks for the continual support. A large number of instructors teach using manual transmission (stick shift) cars here in the UK, though there are a lot of automatic car driving instructors as well.

Most ADI (driving instructor) cars here in the UK have passenger side clutch and brake pedals, and these are sufficent enough more most situations, we don't have a passenger steering wheel, and just lean over and use the driver's steering wheel.

I use 2 cameras a Sony PD170 and Sony Digi8 consumer camcorder, the PD170 is mounted on the passenger head restraint, while the smaller Digi8 camcorder providing the shots of the driver's faces is mounted on the windscreen using a suction mount.

The Sony PD170 is also mounted on a tripod to provide all the external shots, while the suction mount is fixed to the car externally to provide additional shots.

I'll take some pictures and add them to give a better view during the the next tv production run for the series.

Good video, can't comment on the content but it seems to make sense and doesn't seem to go against anything I have been taught.

Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next video.
