Driving test effective observations

Driving Test Tip - Look before moving off

A pupil of mine today failed his driving test with the DSA examiner DL25 report sheet having recorded 7 driving errors, 2 of them serious, and they both pertained to not taking effective observations. One was while moving off, the other was at a junction.

It is very important that you look all around POM (6 point vehicle check), and also take effective observations at junctions during the DSA driving test if you want to pass and not fail. While it is good to avoid undue hesitation during the practical car assessment, you MUST make sure everything you do is safe.
