UK Driving School is a blog for provisional licence holders learning to drive. This website has free online articles, videos, news, tips and advice on how to pass the driving test, and is run by an independent London based approved ex AA franchised driving instructor (ADI) offering cheap driving lessons in Mill Hill, Colindale, Burnt Oak, Hendon, Kingsbury and Hendon.
I'm looking for a PDI trainingin the north London area to interview/feature in my forth coming TV show.
Maybe you've just started out on the path to becoming a driving instructor with your PDI tuition, passed part 1, preparing for part 2, passed part 2, or just started on part 3, I would be interested in knowing what prompted you to become a driving instructor and find out how the journey has been so far.
The current driving age is not changing, you can still apply for a provisional driving license in the UK if 17 (16 if you are getting the higher disability benefit), and there is no truth in rumours that the driving age will be changing to 18 in April 2008, neither is it true that after April 2008 you will not be allowed to take the UK driving test until you are aged 18 or 21.
There has been mention of the age for obtaining a provisional driving license being raised in many circles, but the government has not even had a consultation in parliarment, and it is definately not law yet, neither is there any law being passed in parliament to change the UK driving test age to 18 or 21!
If you live or work in NW London and need manual driving lessons in the Mill Hill or Hendon Test Centre areas, call me on 07956233032
I'm not sure why these driving age rumors keep circulating in different forms mentioning years like 1993, but there will be enough media coverage and your ADI instructors will know if any new laws are passed.

Learners know they will fail the UK driving test for hesitation, but what exactly is hesitation on the UK driving test? In this video I give an explanation and show why you would be penalised for being too cautious during the driving test. Footage from an actual driving lesson is included to further illustrate the point.
Hesistation is all about not making progress when it is safe to do so, be it driving too slowly on a dual carriageway, not going at a junction when there is clearly a safe gap or taking too long with a driving test manoeuvre with nobody around.
